Alex's Baptism

Our sweet boy Alex was baptized on May 1st. We feel so blessed to have Alex in our lives. We pray that God protects and guides him through the years. We pray that he will have good health, love, and happiness. We pray that he makes good decisions and that he bounces right back when he doesn't (we all make mistakes after all). Above all, we pray that he always feels loved.

Austism Speaks Walk 2011

our group at the finish line

This was the third year our family participated in the Austism Speaks Walk. It seems like every year the number of people at the walk increases. It's sad but true, too many families are affected by this horrible disorder. We have made a commitment to walk every year to show support for Andrew and his parents. We hope they know they are not going through this alone.

Easter

This year Easter was a blur. It came and went so quickly I'm glad I have a camera and a blog to document it all.

This Easter was especially nice for three reasons: 1-Frank and I were sponsors for my Uncle Rigo and his stepson Michael as they completed their steps to become full-fledged Catholics 2-it was Alex's first Easter and 3-Beto and Janice surprised us with a visit.

Scrapbook Tuesdays

My mom and I have declared every other Tuesday "Scrapbook Tuesday!". Mission is to get together, no kids or men allowed, to gossip and scrapbook.

Our first "class" was a couple of weeks ago at my mom's place. My sisters were invited to participate, but they think scrapbooking should be called "Crapbooking" so I don't think they'll be joining us any time soon. We really did have a great time and it was fun to be creative. I think we did a pretty good job for our first time.

Yeah this one right here goes out to all the baby's mamas, mamas...

This post is dedicated to my wife for Mother's Day.  Emma and Alex are lucky to have Melody as their mom.  This woman adores her children and will do anything for them.  In the same breathe, she is also a toughy.  Kids, don't try to fool your momma!  Here are a few characteristics I admire about Melody the mom:
  1. She is caring.
  2. She is compassionate.
  3. She is funny.
  4. She is patient.
  5. She is a good example.
  6. And on, and on, and on...
Here are a few characteristics Emma admires about her mom:
  1. She is special.
  2. She is pretty.
  3. She is funny.
Here are a few characteristics Alex admires about his mom:
  1. Alex was speechless!
Emma, Alex, and I love you and wish you a Happy Mother's Day!  Now I better get some rest because I have a feeling I'll be busy on Sunday.
