Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Rancho Padilla. Janice fed us all the favorites: cheesy potatoes, yams w/ marshmallows, stuffing, corn, turkey, and ham. She also made us homemade pumpkin pie. Oh and I must give Donna a shout out for the delicious pumpkin cheesecake roll she makes. Yum!

We had a great time hanging with the family. We are oh so fortunate to have each other. Next year it's Christmas!

Side note: I cannot believe we did not get one picture of Janice! She was there...I have proof...

Future Photographer?

Emma can't put the camera down. She is taking pictures whenever she can. Yesterday she let me know she wanted Santa to bring her a camera so she could take "lots and lots of pictures". I hope Santa grants her her wish because my poor camera can't take the clicking of an impatient toddler.

Here are samples of her work:

She likes to take pics of herself (She's trying to smile while she's clicking)

She said she was taking a picture of Alex sleeping in the room

Engagement

Becky and Alon stopped by this weekend to give us the details of their engagement. I must say Alon did not disappoint. With a song written especially for Becky, beautiful location in Israel, and a stay at a wonderful resort complete with massages, Alon could not go wrong. We are very happy for them and we cannot wait for the big day. I wonder if they need a flower girl....

L.A. Zoo

I know the L.A. Zoo is not the greatest, but we are lucky to have a zoo just a few minutes away. Emma loves animals and all the open space is heaven for people with small kids. Also, it's pretty affordable especially when you pack a lunch and snacks.

Our day went pretty smoothly. Emma loved the zebras and the gorillas. She ate her lunch and behaved most of the time. Alex was such a good baby. When he wasn't sleeping, he was either smiling or chewing on his hands. One funny moment worth noting, Alex was sitting on my lap while we were having lunch. All of a sudden, I felt a rumbling coming from his booty. He pooped. That is no big deal but it became a big deal when I noticed it had seeped out of his shorts onto my pants! I quickly rushed him to the restroom, changed him, and cleaned my pants. All this happened and his smile never left his face.

Day Off

I love it when Frank gets a day off from work. I usually get to sleep in and we almost always do something. This time we decided to take the kids on a late morning walk down the Chandler Bike Path to Porto's Bakery. We treated ourselves to delicious coffee and yummy cookies for Emma. The rest of the day was pure relaxation.

Visit from Grandpa

Grandpa stayed with us for a night before he headed off to Puerto Vallarta. Of course we couldn't let this short visit pass us by without some pics with the grandkids.

EMMA

Sneaky Girl

Emma is two and a half going on twenty! She is smart, funny, curious, strong-willed, opinionated, etc. She loves to dance and sing, ride her scooter, read her books, and play with her dolls. She knows her alphabet, #'s 1 - 10, colors, and basic shapes. She adores her daddy and brother bear. She loves, loves, loves shoes (borderline obsessive) and animals. We are absolutely in love with this amazing little girl, and we can't wait to see what else she'll do to surprise us. Here are more pics of our girl:

ALEX

Our baby boy is almost three months. He is very happy, cuddly, and a great sleeper. Did I mention a great sleeper? Love it! He is such a pleasure and we love him to pieces! Here is what he is up to:
  • 13 lbs 6 oz
  • 23.5 inches long
  • smiles a lot
  • he studies his hands then puts them in his mouth
  • is beginning to coo, too cute
  • he absolutely hates tummy time
  • He stands with support, no joke he has strong legs
  • he stares at Emma all the time

A Little Bit of Trick or Treating

This Halloween, Andrew, my nephew, and Emma were a little under the weather so trick or treating was very short but fun, and we still managed to load up their buckets.

Emma had no problem walking in those heels...Scary

This is Us

So we decided that a blog is a great way to document our family's happenings. We are a really busy family of four so we want to make sure we take the time to write about our many beautiful, funny, sweet, wonderful moments before our kids are grown up and we are too old to remember anything. We hope you enjoy our posts!

Halloween this year was lots of fun for us. Emma is 2 1/2, old enough to enjoy the holiday, and we had our two month old baby boy, Alex to show off. Emma went as Minnie Mouse and Alex was a Pea in a Pod. Both of them were super cute!
